Whenever I make cookies I usually try and double the recipe so I have some dough to freeze for future use. I made frozen logs of dough for a long time but I thought that the cookies never baked up like the originals. Frustrated, I told my mom of my dilemma. My mom told me that my cousin Andrea (who is an amazing homemaker) would freeze the dough in balls and then she was able to pull out of the freezer how many cookies she wanted and they also bake up nice and round like the originals. Problem Solved! Saturday I had a family come look at my house and I wanted to have some cookies baking for good measure.

Moving Tip #1
Use Rubbermaid containers instead of boxes. They are a bit more expensive but they are more durable, waterproof, and reusable. What Craig & Susan did was they labeled the boxes, A, B, C...and then when she finished the alphabet she started on AA, BB, CC... They kept a list of what was contained in each box for easy reference. So, Christmas decorations might be in A, B, and C and Easter decorations might be in box D. The beauty of this plan is that if they ever decide to put Christmas decorations in box D and move Easter decorations to box E then they just change the master list and not the label on the box. GENIUS! I have shared this idea with many of my friends and family and they have used the tip with great success.
I guess the obvious part of my Target purchase is that I am planning to move soon. (as soon as my house sells). I don't like to move because it is so much work but I always love the fresh start!

JUST A DOLLAR--NO, SERIOUSLY!
I had to wait to post this until my make-up arrived. My sister-in-law Ellen called me about three weeks ago to tell me of a website that was offers $1 cosmetics. The company is called E.L.F cosmetics (Eyes, Lips, and Face). I was a bit leery of this claim but I went to the site and found some cute things. Before she called I had just gone to a department store and bought new make-up and spent quite a bit of money. So I was extremely happy when I only spent around significantly less which included free shipping. My favorite purchase of last night was these little Candy Shop Lip Tins. I thought I would wrap up a few in cellophane and give them to my seminary girls. So cute.
I also bought two 12 piece brush sets. Brushes are so expensive so I bought one for me and one for a gift. My advice: #1 Don't order unless you have about 3 weeks to wait for the make-up. #2 Send the package to someone who is going to be home. (My box sat out in the heatwave all day).
